Huawei has confirmed that it will bring the Huawei P50 Pro to the market. This smartphone comes with a number of improvements compared to the previous generation. According to Huawei APAC Region Senior Product Export, Loic Li, one of them is in a design that is more comfortable to hold.
In a media briefing held online, Friday (4/2/2022), Loic said, the Huawei P50 Pro is lighter and thinner, but has a bigger battery, when compared to the Huawei P40 Pro.
“With almost the same size, the Huawei P50 Pro has a 6.6-inch screen and weighs 195 grams. While the P40 Pro has a 6.58-inch screen and weighs 209 grams,” he explained.
In addition, this Huawei smartphone comes with a Dual Matrix camera design to provide a professional photography experience, namely through the integration of dual camera modules (main camera and zoom).
For the main camera, there is a True-Chroma lens (Colour and Mono) combined with a multi-spectrum color sensor. While the telephoto camera on the side is capable of zooming up to 200 times.
Huawei P50 Pro has four rear cameras consisting of a 50MP main lens, a 13MP ultra-wide lens, a 64MP telephoto lens, and a 40MP black & white lens. While for selfies, there is a 13MP front camera.
Huawei XD Optics Capabilities
This capability is optimized with Huawei XD Optics as the first inclusive image signal reproduction system in the smartphone industry.
HUAWEI XD Optics effectively corrects optical differences and restores detail in images to improve image signal accuracy.
The monochrome lens on this device also has a big impact on the Huawei P50 Pro because it supports 16-bit grayscale and does not include a bayer color filter array.
Then, there is the XD Fusion Image Engine to support dual-channel AI RAW processing and a smart scenario recognition engine.

Huawei P50 Pro runs EMUI 12 powered by the app ecosystem from AppGallery.
Currently, application services from AppGallery are also available with various applications in various categories, ranging from transportation, travel, mobile banking, to entertainment.
This series is equipped with IP68 certification. Based on the official Huawei Indonesia website, the Huawei P50 Pro comes with the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset.
As for the memory configuration, this smartphone has 8GB of RAM with 256GB of internal memory.
To support performance, there is a 4,360mAh battery that supports 66W SuperCharge and 50W Wireless SuperCharge.
