YouTube is launching a new interface for its Android and iOS mobile app full-screen video players. This new look makes it easier for users to like or dislike videos, view comments, and share what they’re watching.
Long-screen full-screen YouTube videos hide most of these features behind a swipe-up gesture in the “more videos” section.
Meanwhile, this new look version places it front and center. To downgrade related videos, users can see “more videos” in the lower left corner.
Quoting The Verge, this display change only appears when users watch YouTube videos in full screen.
Meanwhile, some of the app’s appearance still looks the same when users watch in portrait mode.
Previously, the portrait view of the YouTube mobile application would make it easier for users when they wanted to share the video they were watching.
